March is Reading Month for the 76ers and to help promote reading and its importance, 76ers second-year guard Willie Green once again helped to teach a class via video tape.

Green expanded his sessions from one to three second grade classes at Moffet Elementary School in Philadelphia. On April 4, 2005, Green made a surprise visit to the students where he read them Dr. Seuss' "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" as well as gave each child a 76ers backpack, courtesy of Gatorade, and an autographed picture.

The visit was the culmination of a week-long program in which Green pre-recorded a reading lesson that was conducted between March 14-18. Green read the play “The Pine Park Mystery” by Tracey West. In daily interactions with the children, Green asks the class to recall parts of the story and to conduct activities such as writing in their journals or discussing his questions amongst themselves and with their teacher.

He also fields questions through e-mail and responds on Sixers.com.
